NSH isn't trading Myers with Fabbro week-to-week with an injury. And that package isn't too interesting either.

WSH doesn't have the cap space for Giroux (unless Mantha is out for the season).

Yes we do. It’s just we need to trade two bad contracts

The thing you said about Yandle, "He can still play"- Keith said the same thing and he sucks.

Well, exactly. Unless they clear cap, they don't have cap space.

Philly will take back a bad contract (Hagelin?)

If Fabbro wasnt week to week, would a 2nd instead of a 3rd and a better prospect or 2 (not top prospects, but maybe higher ceiling/higher upside types, like a mason millman, wyatt wylie, isaac ratcliffe)

Probably would take Kempny as hes an expiring UFA, but taking back contracts (esp. Hagelin who has another year beyond this one), might make for a better prospect ask

i totally agree. Can it be a second instead of a better prospect. So a 1sr 2 seconds and iorio

That's a better offer, but they gave up Ellis to get Myers so I'm not sure they're willing to give up on him so quickly. And it doesn't make much sense for them to deplete their RHD depth right before the playoffs. Maybe they consider dealing him in the off-season, but I don't see an in-season deal happening unless he's part of a bigger deal for a legit top 6 guy. Honestly, it's hard to gauge his value right now anyway considering his limited play so far this season.

You can just trade him to team that won't return a bad contract.

Agree, just looking at 22-23 and a steady but rather cheap (and known commodity) like Myers makes a nice 3RD for rookie Cam York or Egor Zamula, and offers nice RD depth. I started the idea with Oskar Lindblom for Myers straight up....but Lindblom is playing well now and with PHI moving Giroux and JVR, somebody has to play LW.

And agree on Myers, he has all the tools, but doesn;t seem to own a toolbox

Yandle this season quite literally has the worst xGA/60 by a LARGE margin of any defenseman over the last 15 years. There is a fair argument that he is the worst D in the entire salary cap era right now

Personally have a hard time seeing Ottawa paying two picks for an older 20 goal scorer who's going to count for 7m against the cap. The 4m in salary is fine but the cap hit could prove to be restrictive if Ottawa looks to flip him out 50% retained at the deadline. Also depends on what happens in free agency with the Sens.

Not that a 3rd and 5th is a huge return but I could see it happening for a little less. Don't mind the deal at all either way.
