This is a very "EA NHL" trade where you stack quantity. Yes, quality pieces in there (Robertson, 1st rounder) but I don't see Chicago or any team is interested in taking on 7 contracts at once.

Also I very much doubt Kyle Dubas trades for Kane

Definitely a leafs fan dreaming a bit. But i was thinking that Chicago takes on a couple NHL players with 1-2 years left and then a bunch of solid high end prospects. With Robertson being a first rounder with potential and Steeves, Niemela, and Voit showing better than they were drafted i figured it would be worth a shot. Definitely understand the EA NHL stacking a bunch of mediocre pieces tho probably not enough to get Patty Kane anyways but this is all for fun

The leafs have zero need for kane and can spend much less on a player that would actually fit the roster and thats too much for severson

Replace Voit, Steeves, and Kivihalme with Amirov. I know he's in your NJ trade, but if you're trading Kane (one of the best American players off all time) with salary retained next year, we're going to need Robertson and Amirov.

Patty Kane and Matthews tho.... Two best US born players on the same line and then Nylander-Tavares-Marner would be insane. Would swap Amirov with one of the lower quality prospects from my CHI trade to entice CHI more and give a more realistic package for Severson

Honestly down with both of these ideas. Just wanna see AM34 and PK88 play together now that they wont get the chance on team USA

Or hertle with matthews, forsberg with matthews, miller with matthews all cheaper than that. All younger and all would cost less against the cap.

No, I understand. I would love to see that as well. Just isn't realistic, sadly.

Steeves, Voit, Niemela are not big pieces. Robertson's injury really hurt his value. There's really no reason the hawks make this move. Mrazek is a cap dump, Kerfoot is arguably the best player going back to Chicago. That's not good enough.

Might as well trade that 7th rounder too and save on scouting expenses.

Mrazek would waive his NTC to go to CHI? I doubt it.

Ignoring how bad the offer is, I doubt Kane would waive his NMC for a Canadian team.

Don't think Kane would waive his NMC to come to Toronto.
