Definitely, but I think getting Ullmark would be better. He makes the same amount, is younger, he’s also very good and has more years. Hopefully we can add a defence man too at least! I think Edmundson would be the best one we could grab, but if Holland doesn’t want to give up too much, then maybe Soucy.

I don't know that Ullmark will be available at all. Swayman has 2 years of waivers exemption they can keep him there till that is over.

He does, but with the signing of Rask, he may be available. If not, then Varlamov could be an option. In my opinion, Swayman is ready for the NHL right now, and he has showed that over 2 seasons. Last year, in 10 games he had a .945SV%, and this year in 16 games he had a .918SV%. He is 23 years old, and is better than a lot of the goalies in the NHL already! I total, he has played 26 games and has a .928SV%. That is very good for a young goalie, and he has proven for that many games now that he is ready. He is out performing guys like Carter Hart, Spencer Knight, Stuart Skinner, Dan Vlader, Karl Vejmelka, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, Jake Oettinger, and arguably playing better than Alex Nedeljkovic and many more! These are all good guys that are around his age from 20-25 years old.

The other problem is Ullmark has a NMC I doubt he waives to come to edmonton in the present state.

Maybe, but I think it’s worth a try. If we can’t get him, then we can go for Varlamov or whoever is good.

Would love Ullmark but he sure ain't waiving his NMC in Boston to come to the tire fire that is the Oilers. Curious if we're on Varlamov's... If he had to submit at the beginning of the season it would probably be 50/50... if he got to update in January there's no chance.

He has been consistently good on a bad team so he is exactly what I want. lots of goalies look good until they get out from behind a good defense.
