We could find a plug to fill that hole but that might be the problem that all we might be able to find is plugs. If Leddy doesn't resign the free agent market isn't swarming with high end LD and players aren't chomping at the bit to go to Detroit. If I had to give up a second for a player like Martinez I wouldn't be too sad. Minus this year where he's had some injury issues, he's been quite a good player for a few years and I wouldn't mind if some of the young players got mentored by him.
