I dont see why the rangers would want Paquette and Barron has been very good in his short NHL showing this year and has provided the faceoff wins that the Rangers need badly

I’m conflicted. I think we should go for giroux with our first and second and leason. For half retained

Chiarot roesn’t get a 1st imo and the Capitals shouldn’t be wasting a 1st round pick on him.

Why? What has giroux done in the playoffs that makes you confident that he helps us win a cup. Especially at that price. I’d rather keep my assets and go in with what we have. Capitals need to stop wasting assets until they are ready to win.

Personally I agree, Chiarot's not worth a first, but there's those rumors of him warranting a first and WSH needs a physical D-man able to eat minutes (basically Dillon replacement). I could see Chiarot being a realistic option for them, despite it definitely being an overpayment if they have to waste a first for him.

Unfortunately this screams desperation Caps move BUT I hate it. Overpaying for average talent kills me

Fair enough. Just rolled with the assumption that NYR might be interested in adding Lehkonen as Blais replacement and adding Paquette to bring some grit which is something NYR has done a lot this year.

I reckon the price of those guys is a prospect plus low second. Barron can be replaced by some other prospect if he's not available, but he tends to get traded quite often in NYR posts here.

I think that is about the price and I would love to add Lehkonen I just personally would not want to trade Barron, what does MTL need position wise for prospects?

We are not winning with the assets we have. If we can’t beat teams that aren’t in playoff position we need to add somethings. Giroux would be a great addition to the team. He would help on the powerplay, bring some scoring. And is good on defense on think.

I'm not a Habs fan so I don't really know, but honestly their whole system is pretty meh. Any quality prospect or higher pick would do. Except LHDs. They have too many of those.

Aside from Suzuki and Caufield the drop off to the likes of Guhle and Poehling is pretty massive...their prospect pool has a lots of names in there but imo it's lacking high quality.

then maybe a guy like Kravstov is best? former Gorton draft pick who has the potential to still be a great top 6 player

I like most of it, but I'd prefer a pick for Kulak over Juolevi at this point. We already have many LHDs and Juolevi would likely be waived.

Center and RHD, but center is probably not something the Rangers should be dealing. LW as well, to a lesser extent.

I like Cuylle & Kravtsov. I proposed Chiarot + Lehkonen for Kravtsov and a 2nd earlier. I think it would benefit both teams. Some fans are saying they don't need Chiarot, but the Rangers have been linked to him.

I don't really think Chiarot is the best use of the Rangers assets but I would love to add Lehkonen what would be the price for him alone

For either Kravtsov or a 2nd I could live with it. It seems steep but he's a valuable player.
