Jets have just been surrounded by knee on knee hits whether it’s on them or they’re giving them out. It’s nuts. I knew someone who had their hockey career ended at 18 because of one. They’re nasty. Makes me cringe

Like these lines a lot.

Who thinks Perfetti should NOT get sent to the AHL? Even though we lost today, Perfetti still had a good game. Even after he scored, he was still solid.

Also I agree that Stanley should be scratched. Man is playing bad right now.

Dangerous knee on knee with Ehlers. Wheeler should be on the 4th line. The boy bleeds chances.

The last year Wheeler was healthy he was a positive defensive player, 19/20 playing at centre. He's much better defensively when 81-55-26 is not a thing.

Yes unfortunate. I made this before the injury and published after the game. Since we don't know how long he's out yet I left him in.

No Ehlers for me should mean Svechnikov to line 1 (or Perfetti to line 1 and Svech to line 2) and Vesalainen from taxi squad to 4RW

I think he goes down to slide his ELC. Jets need to have young good players on ELCs to compete. Plus when wheeler and stasny are back he won’t have a spot in the top 6 and he should play 1C with the moose.

Also Samberg should take over Stanley’s spot once Dillon is back. Samberg does everything Stanley does better but just less physical.

I thought he was 100% certain to go down but I dunno now with how he's playing. They did chose to not slide Gus' contract in 19/20. But at the same time I definitely wouldn't be surprised if they do choose to send him down.

I actually just double checked and realized that Ves is probably not eligible for the taxi squad this year (they modified the taxi squad rules this season) so he might get a spot because I don't think they want him on the Moose

I buy the overall point of that line being an issue defensively, but Wheeler definitely was not a positive defensive player last year.

It will be interesting to see how the roster would be managed in a scenario where the Jets have a bunch of non-LTIR injuries. For example, how would they mange things if Ehlers is on IR only, Comrie and Dillon are day-to-day (not in C19 protocol), and Wheeler is back? A bunch of emergency-basis call ups and calming breathing exercises for Larry Simmons?
