You have to realize, regardless on value, teams do not change the entire makeup of their roster for a playoff run

Sens trade is rough.

If Ottawa wanted Sandin they would’ve taken him in 2018. They literally traded down, he was still there and they still didn’t take him. Not that he’s a bad player but my point is that this is a crazy overpay on Sandin.

You’re dumping Ritchie (zero positive value after clearing waivers), giving a disgruntled rental in Mikheyev and Sandin.

But you’re asking for Brown (who’s likely worth a 1st and a B prospect), a 2nd from last year in Kleven that’s looked amazing and somehow Ottawa’s still adding a 3rd?

This doesn’t go anywhere close to getting accepted. Hard pass.

Ottawa counters by giving you Del Zotto, Zaitsev and Brannstrom for Nylander, Amirov and a 2022 2nd round pick.

Try again or give up.

The choice is your's.

So the leafs give up Marner for Josh Anderson-2 rentals- a 1st and 3rd. Engvall has no value and Abramov I'm not sure about. So do you think in the long run Josh Anderson will out perform Marner because you never know how draft picks workout. Anderson is a very good power forward when healthy but it's not close on what Marner's all around game brings. Now Marner has been hurt this year but last year was 4th in league scoring. Where did Anderson finish?
