    Such as?

This offer seems to be in line with expectations from multiple forums, and fits Vancouver's needs.

If your giving this up, I’d expect some retention on Vancouver’s side.

What are some other fits? I could see the Wild, but they’ve got no cap. Rangers aren’t moving Schneider so that kills the deal on your side. Avs seem like a great fit. Maybe Toronto or Edmonton in a bid to strengthen or spread out their scoring.

This is a great offer; I'd even retain 50% on top of that. The only way this doesn't get it done is if NYR offer Schneider in a similar package AND our scouts take him over Barron.

I've said Miller for Barron + 1st for a while but a bunch of Avs fans didn't want to move Barron

Avs fans understandably don't want to give up Barron, but you need to give to get, and Colorado has a surplus of good young Dmen (Helleson, Behrens, Barron) so that's the obvious solution. That said Barron's skating ability makes him a perfect stylistic fit for Colorado, but Helleson's defensive game might be more of a need going forward, so it's a tough choice of which one to part with, if any.

I think Avs and Rangers are the best fits, with this offer from the Avs and one of Schneider/Lundkvist + a 1st from the Rangers being the baseline of each teams offer. Depends on who the Canucks prefer among those defenseman imo

Edmonton need to focus on fixing their D and goaltending. That's assuming they're even in a playoff spot which is far from certain.

JT Miller will get a better offer then that, And Detroit passes Namestnikov is on a 40 point pace here. He's getting more then a 3rd or B prospect here. There's already talk of him getting extended anyways.

I doubt wings will retain on Namestnikov. They only can retain on one other player and most likely will use it for Leddy or Griess. He will also bring more than a 3td most likely.

He’s gonna be our long term 2nd pair RD behind Fox once Trouba is gone. They weren’t willing to even include him in Eichel talks, so why on earth would they do so for Schneider. Long term with the cap implications taking age into consideration, Schneider is more valuable to us than using as trade bait in a half assed attempt to be competitive in the playoffs this year.

That doesn’t mean anything. Once his clause changes he’s gone if not sooner for cap reasons.

Since Detroit can only retain on 2 players the price for Namestnikov with retention is a 2nd or a 3rd without.

Namestnikov is on 40 point pace playing more minutes for a bad team than he would on a contender. He's also far down the list of rental forwards teams will be looking at, with a lot of teams looking like sellers already. A 3rd seems appropriate.

Jost and another B prospect like Kaut or Foudy would be fine too. Compher may need to be included for cap reasons though, unless there's retention. Say Jost instead of Compher, but have $1.5m retained on Miller to bridge the gap, that would work.

They have two more retention slots they can use this year still. Each team is allowed 3 at any one time. So theoretically they could retain on Namestnikov but the price would have to be a second I would think.

I feel like with the way compher has been playing I would almost think they would want to send Jost? I'm not an avs fan so I don't know. Probably need full retention though.

Easy no. What’s the point of trading 4 pieces for Miller? They don’t need to score more. They don’t need help in the top 6. They don’t need help on the PP. They don’t need a 2C. Where as Barron is in the line up next year, Compher has rebounded and is the Swiss Army knife guy every good team needs, a 1st rd pick is still a 1st rd pick.
