On what planet is J. T. Miller worth the equivalent of 3 1st round picks? You're grossly over-valuing Miller here.

Yeah sure they do, That's a package you start with for Eichel not Miller. J. T. Miller isn't worth an equilvalent to 3 1st round picks.

Gtfo with this trade. Counter is Pettersson 50% retained for future considerations. 30 other teams we could trade with.

Source? He’s top 20 in scoring this year. 5v5 he’s doing fine so I’m gonna need a little more proof…He can play all forward positions and all special teams along with being very good at face offs and is a pretty physical dude

Chytil sucks. Schneider and a first is the starting point to talks. As it is clear that New York rangers aren’t gonna do that, the Canucks also have 30 other teams they can trade with. Have a good day

Chytil is pretty bad ngl. Schneider and a first is bare minimum for Miller at half retained for 2 years

evolving hockey's RAPM charts. additionally 17 of his points are on PP. if hes on NYR he would be PP2 getting almost no time so his points would decrease a substantial amount with us

On what planet is Chytil even remotely worth a 1st round pick?

Chytil isn't worth a 1st round pick, his value is around a late 2nd rounder at best.

And why are you saying this trade is the equivalent of 3 1st round picks? You say that now, so that would mean 2 1st round picks and a late second for Miller. For the time being Schneider is the only big name the Rangers are giving up. The 1st round pick will end up between 20th-maybe 30th overall pick. Those are the two biggest pieces I think the Rangers can afford to give up

18 points on the power play but if that’s how you wanna be like towards his statistics, let’s take away his power play points. That’s still 21 points in 39 games on a team he’s been producing points for. You want to explain to me how that’s not good production? Not to mention he’s been the guy running Vancouvers power play as he has 4 goals and 14 assists on the power play. Not to mention he’s a top 5 leader in power play points.

The 1st will likely be a mid to late first.
Chytil is not valued at a 1st round pick level anymore - try posting THAT as a trade on this site!!
Miller's play, contract and the fact that multiple teams highly value and covet him are also huge factors.
A 1st, high end prospect and possibly more will be the cost, especially with any retention.

I’d argue rangers have zero reason to do this is Schneider is the ask. Personally don’t think they need him. I’d go for chychrun if that’s the ask and it’s only cost slightly more

Just saying we don’t need to make a bad trade for Miller. Last I checked we actually were decent. This move is just unnecessary.
