David Kampf isnt getting traded. He's our number 1 shutdown player and has been so critical for us on the PK unit and winning crucial faceoffs. I may sound crazy here, but there's reason to believe that he's almost like a Philip Danualt 2.0.

The 3rd line certainly does well enough against top players that we can send our top lines out against 2nd and 3rd liners. But Matthews is the #1 shutdown centre on the team. He dominates all over the ice.

Yes you make a good point there, but im just talking from a Penalty Kill perspective. Matthews ain't much of a PK specialist like Kampf, but Matthews does go out there and dominate both ends of the ice for sure

I think Matthews could be a good penalty killer but I would rather he not. The opposition is going to send out their best players on the PP so when they come off and you can send Matthews JT and Nylander out vs 3rd or 4th liners, that could swing the play the other way in a big way.
