We don’t need to be bailing out Edmonton.

Edmonton's not touching that with a 10 foot pole. Pysyk has very little value, not close to Barrie's value for sure.

24 year old RFA RHD will not be traded for a rental 3rd pairing guy and a dart throw

You realize that trade is a win for you and gives you almost 10k of cap space to stop McDavid from pulling a Eichel at the end of the season? Barrie can’t defend, koskinen can’t stop a puck…

Canes trade is terrible, you mentioned the wrong comment.

If I’m dealing Bear, it’s in a package for Klingberg, certainly not for Colin Miller.

Canes probably pass, I don’t know why we need this deal with Edmonton, I would prefer Pysyk over Barrie, he is better defensively and makes some sense for Buffalo at this stage.

I got the idea for the:
Bear trade from https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/3004097
Koskinen trade from https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/544867
Barrie trade from https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/3004442

These would be great trades for Buffalo.
Both Edmonton and Carolina would reject these deals, Buffalo would faint if the deals were offered.
Since I saw these trades I wanted to get affirmation that my thoughts were in line with other ACGM's.
Bear > Pysyk
Barrie > Miller
Koskinen > Houser or Dell
All for only a fourth round pick.
Buffalo has sufficient cap space to take on both Barrie and Koskinen.
While neither Barrie nor Bear are #1 pairing defensemen Buffalo only has Jokiharju signed next year to play RHD with only Laaksonen in the pipe line.

10k? It saves them $4.5M next year but leaves them with a big hole at RHD. Not happening.

Neither trade works in my opinion. Barrie is far from what Buffalo needs or even wants and the Hurricanes aren’t going to trade and RFA for a UFA
