You’re correct, probably time to start thinking about it

I don't think that with Zucker being in the final year of his contract that the Pens need to overpay to move him. He's still a good, albeit overpaid, hockey player who's just been crazy unlucky in scoring. Mind you, I'm not saying Zucker can garner some great return, but I think it will be passed the point of having to sweeten the deal.

Although I think the Pens stand pat at the deadline (maybe add a backup), I think this trade could be huge for them going into the offseason. They need to sign so many key players so freeing up that cap would be great. I feel like a Zucker deal probably happens in the offseason though.
Reilly has not been great and I feel like he is in a "trade for similar contract" situation.
Senyshyn probably ends up getting moved for Future Considerations or like a 7th.

You aren’t going to be a cup contender until the defense is fixed. Every time I watch the B’s this year, and demonstrated in the two games against the Canes - the defense gets dogwalked ever game. Simple concept - pucks behind D, can’t out skate forwards, turn the puck over, in the back of net. Check mate.

So you’re confident that you can win a playoff series against Carolina, Rangers, Capitals, Penguins, Tampa Bay, Florida or Maple Leafs with the current defense? Bruins lose in 5 to each of those teams right now.

Bruins can def beat half those teams with their current defense. The other half will definitely be a challenge
