Doubt the Canucks would give up Garland. Halak could probably be had for something like a 3rd round pick, although there are rumours he won’t waive his NMC

Update on Fiala, he is no longer in a rut and has found new life on a line with Matt Boldy. He may still get traded because of contract but he won't be cheap.

Most of these guys we can’t afford with cap.

A RHS rod can trust in defensive situations in addition to Pesce and a backup goalie cuz Raanta can’t stay healthy.

Zub would be the number one target. C. Miller isn’t bad either.

Fiala isn't in any rut and wild won't be trading him during the season! He's been damn good since being paired with boldy and complete game changer! Carolina won't give up what will be asked during the offseason which is 1st round pick with top c prospect

Zadina is too young to be given up on by us yet so unless there is a substantial offer I don’t see it.

Bertuzzi on the other hand is probably on the block. You’d have to deal with his not playing in Canada, but he’s a ppg player right now, plays a style that transfers very well to playoffs, and all for less than 5m - with another year too, so he’s no rental.

He’d most likely take a top prospect and a 1st or something akin to the Mantha deal, and that’s with no retention (Bert at 2.25m or whatever it is for two years would be so stupid though).

Hard to come up with answers for each guy listed, but Canes’ strength will be the depth of their pipeline, especially at premium positions. I would imagine a combo of Drury or Suzuki, plus a Morrow or Heimasalmi, plus a pick, would bring back many of these guys if they are made available.

I can already tell you that Morrow and Drury would be untouchables, and Heimosalmi would be unlikely to be traded as well. Suzuki I have never been sure of his future in Carolina, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets traded in a package for a top 6 LW. The player I would be highly interested in would be Zadina. Anyone know what might pry him out of Detroit.

Wasn’t Bert vaxxed already? Cause I thought that Kane was the only one that was unvaxxed in the league?

No it’s bertuzzi. Bertuzzi just didn’t pretend to be vaxxed and lie about it like Kane. I disagree with his decision and really pisses me off but at least he owns it.

So would a first and Suzuki get Fiala? If not, how much more would it take?

You learn something new every day. That definitely decreases my interest in Bert, as it would make the team less effective against 7 teams, and in a tight race in the east, those point could be everything.

During the offseason! During the season, it will be overpayment and if fiala continues this kind of play with matt boldy, it will be costly during the offseason! But in offseason, starts with a 1st and top c prospect. Right now during the season, it will take a better player, likely a top 6c around fiala age whose equal or better Carolina doesn't have. Minnesota is a contender

A bert trade would probably have to go to a division where you aren’t likely to see a Canadian team in the first 2 rounds of the playoffs since the leafs (the only team in the playoffs for Canada in the east) and the flames (the only team in the west) will both choke in the first round as is tradition.

If Gurianov were to be traded to the Canes I’d want at least Gunler and a 2nd.

Most of these guys either are not available or the Canes would do better without them. McCann is probably the most feasible get. Probably cost you a C prospect + a pick. Seattle needs centers baaaaad.

I can’t either but that is where I start my search.
The go to Miller (highest war of the group)
Then Braun
Then Schenn
Keeping Bear next
Klingberg is the worst option

Why is he the worst option? Too much offensive D?

For sure, but with the development rate that Morrow is on right now, he won’t get traded. Drury, I can only see being traded if the Canes are sure that whoever they trade him for would be a clear upgrade. He very likely steps in next year full time as our 4C. Heimosalmi and Suzuki would more than likely be available as part of a package, but Heimosalmi would be less likely to be traded than Suzuki. I know Zadina has struggled a bit, so how about Bokk and a 3rd for Zadina?

10 points in his last 10 games, Boldy and Fiala have some amazing chemistry.

I still think Fiala is traded but I'm not sure what Guerin will want in return. If it's futures I'm thinking a slightly beefed up Zucker package like a 1st, good prospect (but not a blue chipper), and another piece like a 3rd? If it's a player I don't know if the Canes have the right piece to make a deal like that. Trocheck would make some sense if his deal had a couple more years but with only 1 left I can't see it unless there's a good add since Fiala is an RFA.

I can’t speak for Wings fans, but if it were up to me, I’d ask for Drury or Morrow for Zadina

Where is Necas's value at these days. Any chance working a deal around Fiala for Necas?
