By then Leafs will have added to their blue line

If all goes well Mark Giordano could be a leaf after the deadline

Mark Giordano would be a great add, I hope Dubas finds a way to bring him in

Not really and it’s not like Dubas is great with trades anyways. The kadri trade is one of the worst trades of the last 5 years

no, it really isnt. And Dubas has actually done really well on trades. The Muzzin trade, the campbell trade, the Kapanen trade, Ziatsev trade.

It would send a message that the Leafs won't be pushed around that easily, not just for the game but to the entire league. The TNT broadcast even pointed it out that the Leafs had no intentions of making Ryan Reaves angry

There you go making stuff up again. the leafs have fought and hit so many times and still lost and still no 'message' was sent and yet you keep banging on about it like it's fool proof,
lol the TNT broadcast, good one

When have the Leafs fought and hit in this game? Rangers were throwing their weight around all game with high pressure forechecks to the Leafs defense

and yet the leafs lost because their goaltending wasnt good and they were missing their entire 2nd defensive pairing. not because of toughness fairy dust

Good luck getting Lou to trade with the leafs. No chance unless he is raping us

My boy you really are some weirdo. Do you have it set in your mind that GMs of NHL hockey teams are fanboys like you? Lol you think Lou got to where he is by holding a grudge with teams he has worked for? So much so that he will not make deals with that team? You are aware he already has made a trade with the leafs?

This is like the 5th time I have seen you comment about how Lou literally would not do a trade with the leafs because of how they"treated" him. Kiss the wall-size Lou picture in your bedroom and go to sleep my boy.

they won't move him unless it's for at least a second

More than that. I doubt they move him at all but if they do its going to be for a savard/chiarot type return (a 1st)

What I find annoying is that the players who were physical on a different team lose that aspect of the game when they join the Leafs. Where is Muzzin's physicality, his game is a lot different then he was with the Kings. Where is Simmonds physicality like when he was with the Flyers? Clifford? Nick Ritchie?

The thing is when your the only guy hitting or fighting it gets hard to keep that style up when you feel nobody has your back. The leafs role players are the softest in the league and in a playoff series never ware down the other team. Kerfoot, Engvall, Spezza, Kampf, Mikheyev, Bunting don't ever give out bone crushing checks and Simmonds might once every 10 games. Sandin probably leads the d-men in hits and Muzzin might through a big hit once a month but the other guys couldn't break a pain of glass.

So what does it say about the Rangers? They played hard, physical, pressurized the Leafs defense and won while the Leafs didn't do the same

No, they were playing physical and hard. Physicality wins playoff hockey, not skill
