Um. Hertl is 8th in goals this year playing largely with prospects and AHLers. Only recently did he start playing with Meier. Don't be childish, this offer is incredibly lowball even for a rental. If you think Duchene is better than Tomas then you need to reassess what you think you know about NHL players. Hertl is a top penalty killer, a positive culture-driver, his offensive metrics color him an elite level center.

This deal is not getting Hertl and yes it will take Amirov to even start the negotiation. Teams are not lining up to help Toronto get a cup. Your picks are late round and Mikheyev does not move the needle for most teams. If you want to pick up elite level talent at the TDL you will be sending your most valuable futures. Yeah Collin Miller, the guy who has been a healthy scratch on every team he's played for and is currently the best defenceman on a bottom feeder is the missing link.

Over the last 3 season Labanc has 27 goals in 147 games, Mikheyev has 21 in 101 games.
I do not see why the Leafs would need to add a first and prospect for Labanc.
Mikheyev this year seems to have found his MoJo as he has 6 goals in just 8 games.
