I could see the Habs sending chariot because he’s UFA. But I can’t see them sending Toffoli with term to the leafs. Depends on the package I guess

Do you think the above package would get the Habs to at least discuss the deal ?

Not MTL traget... if they trade Chiarot & Toff separately... it will get them 2x1st a guy like Kerfoot, and a guy like Ritchie+ Amb...
so bottom line.. missing a 1st and Leafs should not do so or increase the players value

To be honest I don’t know the Leafs players enough. But based on what “insiders” are saying I would think no. Richie has no place for the Habs except as a cap dump. The “insiders” say that Chariot will get a first and toffoli would be a 1st +. Assuming that’s true…..we are holding salary on Chariot and taking a cap dump of Richie. We do get a first but are the other two players, cap dump and a 3rd equal a 1st ++.

Again without knowing those two players well I would say no.

It's a pretty well-thought-out deal. I think they'd consider it, but as @Snipe52 said, I don't think they'd be willing to ship Toffoli with term to Toronto.

Kerfoot is having the best year out of all these players. Tofoli isn't needed and Chiarot straight up sucks. If he was in the lineup last night, he would have been burned same as Biega but would have likely had 2-3 cross checking penalties as well.

Every player on the worst team in the league is worth a 1st these days eh?

Well Toffoli is legitimately a 1st. Pretty sure anyone would agree. 25 goal scorer at a great cap hit for 2 more years. That’s a 1st all day long.
As for chiarot, I too think a 1st is too much, but alas, it seems to be what the pros are saying…

As for this deal above, not interest in kerfoot, Ritchie or abruzesse. Never mind the idea of trading Toffoli who has term left to a divisional team. I just don’t see that happening

Yeah, I agree with SevenLeg, at the same time, I would rather ship out Chariot to anyone else than the Leafs, another quick exit in the first round is always fun to watch :P

Find it quite hilarious that everyone is acting like the habs are last because their roster is garbage, even though their #1 goalie and two of their top 3 dman havent dressed for a single game, clearly every player they have is garbage.

Chiarot may get burned once an a while but atleast he has some fight in him, something the leafs have been lacking for about a decade.

As for the package i think its pretty bang on value wise but i dont think the has make that deal without the leafs overpaying.

Cool, the Leafs have no need for any of this. This is a downgrade for the team that costs them a pile of good assets.

Burned once and a while? His high danger scoring chances for % is 30. That's getting burned 7 put of 10 times. 70% of the time he's giving up mad chances against. He can fight all he wants, but he's do a lot better if he put that energy into defending his own net which he clearly doesn't do.

Okay fair enough. I won’t argue with that. But Toffoli is a 1st. Don’t be biased and say he isn’t.

Maybe, I don't see him as worth a first. He's a decent middle 6 winger. Clearly doesn't really move the needle much. If he did, Montreal wouldn't be last.

That’s a ridiculous thing to say…what about Eichel? He didn’t move the needle for Buffalo…chychrun, not good either?
For anyone to imply Toffoli who is a 25-30 goal scorer on a great contract for 2 more years is not a 1st clearly shows a biased point of view. As far as I am concerned, this conversation is over. I won’t communicate with this trolling anymore!

by that logic leafs should just blow it up. There have no one on their roster capable of getting them out of the first round so everyone must be garbage.

If this was between 2 teams of different conferences, it would be great, but because these teams are rivals it's unlikely either teams does this.

Eichel absolutely did move the needle for Buffalo, he was the only reason they didn't lose every game. I think Chychrun is overrated though, certainly isn't looking like much of a difference maker in the desert. The reality is though, many GM's still overpay for stuff. However this year we will see a buyer's market I think. Already we know which 8 teams are making the playoffs in the east. We know at least 4 of the teams in the west. There will be more sellers than buyers.

i'm sorry who blew a 3-1 lead last playoffs...again....to the "worst team in the league" according to you? Leafs are stacked with talent and continue to fail when it counts, yet you want to discredit key players who have continued playoff success on other teams and use the arugment of "well your in last place right now" even though over half our roster has had significant time missed this season,
You completely lack any credibility if you only argument is "habs are last place so no one on your roster is any good"

Leafs our a top 5 REG SEASON TEAM, their core hasnt done jack when it matters.

Again we've had over half our salary cap on the IR for most of the season so your point is irrelevant.

We will have fun in the basement this year, and will also have fun when the habs win another playoff series before the leafs get out of first round again.
