Description
New GM, New HC. First line works. Leave it alone. Second line isn’t great, but gets the most out of the players imo. Hopefully Segs learns to be more productive without his old skating ability. I still think he could be a Pavs type player. Give Faksa better line mates and see if you can get him back to being an effective overall player. Give the fourth line sheltered minutes and let the kiddos do some damage. Esa with Miro and kids with vets on D. I think this could be a good team with better coaching/systems and putting guys in positions to succeed

As long as Nill and Bowness are fired and they do exactly this, they might be able to turn things around quickly.

I think it’s a good start and gets you the most out of what you’ve got

I like the loan value of Pavs to NYR. I would hope he’d come back for another year.

      Good job overall.

My guess is that you will have to sign Pavelski for 2 years.

One friendly criticism, just send Faksa anywhere else that wants him and switch him with Dellandrea.

I’d give Pappy Pavs two if he wanted it. I still want Faksa to be good. I feel like him and Esa have more to give offensively and physically. Shake off the glaze over of being Hitch/Bowness drones and go have some fun. Hit people and get your offense on. All that good jazz. That Montreal game was disappointing overall but Faksa looked good. Seggy was involved offensively. He probably should have had a hatty, but I think he needs some time to adjust to not having the speed etc any more. At least that’s what I’m telling myself. I love me some Esa when he’s getting involved physically and offensively. We’ve seen flashes of that lately. My view on Segs, Fox, and to a lesser degree Esa is nobody is gonna give you anything good for them so might as well try to make them good again

I am done with Radek. IMO, Dellandrea can provide an overall equivalent production and he is cheaper. Faksa needs to go before getting untradable.

You’re putting too much faith in Dell. He consistently loses one on one battles and takes bad penalties as a result. I was excited when he said he worked on that all offseason but the result was the same. He isn’t a checking forward and I think a better coach would realize that. I’d be fine with him on an offensive fourth line. Or “energy line” for the old school folks. But I feel like Damiani and Bourque are going to pass him up on the depth chart without much trouble if he doesn’t stop trying to be gritty and get back to his game

Cap doesn't work for Tampa, and very unlikely they move both Foote and a 1st for a rental(since there's no chance Klingberg re-signs).

Those are just the pieces that would be left the following year. Several Tampa fans have posted identical main pieces in the trade. It’s a fair return. You’re of course welcome to your opinion. This is what Nill should be asking for if Tampa is calling 100%

I doubt Tampa is calling tbh, given their cap situation and lack of depth on RD. If there was any chance of keeping Klingberg sure, but Tampa doesn't have the space. Foote is too valuable long-term to move for a straight rental, in addition to the 1st and additional assets lost having to get a 3rd team to retain. Tampa might consider this kind of move replacing Foote with something else, but if Foote is being shopped, it needs to be as part of a package of a dman that has term or that Tampa could realistically afford to re-sign.
