Pass from both. Not a bad deal for Minny but they'll have like $14 million against the cap in buy outs next year, no room for Copp and Schmidt. Detroit has no need to give up a pick and prospect for Stastny.

Yeah, can't see Minny or Detroit doing those deals.
Minny is probably better off keeping Dumba and Copp is a UFA. Plus Greenway is quite good.
And that's a lot of Detroit to give up for a rental. They're likely not making the playoffs, so this move doesn't make much sense for them.

The Detroit trade make no sense for them. Trading names ok but wallinder and a 2nd for a UfA center and a uninspiring prospects at a position we don't need.

If Jets are out and look to sell Copp, I could see MN being interested. But definitely not for a package like this. It would be a simple futures only package. And there’s probably a tipping point in price where Guerin would rather shove his chips towards a Giroux, if he’s gonna make a splash. I don’t think a fit really materializes.

Not a chance from wild. Wild aren't trading dumba much less add on greenway for copp and take on nate schmidt contract. Also, dumba isn't available. He was named alternate captain for a reason.

Hoping to keep Stastny…1yr at 2.5m… great leader and is loved by the Jets org, team, and fans
Wheeler in the top 6 makes me want to vomit… he’s a 3rd liner at this point… and he’s hugely overpayed
Connor and PLD should be superglued together and never separated…. add Svech with them… why change what works
Scheif should be the 2C, not the 1C
Seriously don’t see why Minny does that
Don’t see why Detroit would want Stastny

Agree on Beaulieu… anywhere but here is a good move with him

I don't see the fit for Minnesota at all. We can't afford Copp and Schmidt and don't need either of them. Seems like a great deal for Winnipeg to shed some cap, get more of what they want, and add a pick, and seems like it does nothing for Minnesota.

Detroit is not a destination for Stastny. Makes zero sense for our direction and trajectory.
