I'd argue it's 1) Makar 2) Kadri 3) Rantanen.

Makar's just insane. Kadri has been the most impressive in terms of comparing to next year. Rantanen is doing extremely well but he was already extremely good.

Yeah that's fair, I think that Rantanen has been an insane 2 way forward this year which is why I slightly have him at 1 even though Makar could definitely be there as well.

yall are foolish for putting Mackinnon that low lmao.

Oh ya the guy with the 5th highest P/GP in the league (0.08 away from first) is being outplayed by Erik freaking Johnson and Andre Burakovsky

1) Makar
2) Kadri
3) Mikko
4) Toews

EJ way to high, Burakovsky a little to high, LOC not high enough, and JT Compher the redhead Av everybody loves to hate has had a significantly better year than Kuemper, Murray, MacDermid, Sherwood (shouldn’t even be on here), and maybe Newhook.

Mac is way too low, injury is the only reason his production is down. He's still 5th in points per game in the league

Is everyone bored of Nate or something? I swear there is an unwritten rule that Mackinnon has to average 2.00 P/GP or else the Avs fanbase will inexplicably claim that hes only like the 5th best player on this team.

id argue that rantanen has also been the most consistent too.

i'd say you have compher too low and bura too hig

He has some painful moments defensively that folks tend to remember. He's still one of the best players in the world though.

That said, it is my opinion that Makar is the best player on the team. He's #1 for me. I can make an argument for any of MacKinnon, Rantanen, or Toews at #2 with Kadri not far behind.

The fact that I just listed a top 5 that doesn't include Girard, Byram, Newhook, etc. just goes to show how much talent there is in the organization. Hope they can translate their success to the post season.

Compher has 2 points since the start of the calendar year (10 games) and consistently manages the worst possession numbers of any regular on the team, despite favorable zone starts. His points per 60 are below guys like NAK, LOC, Jost, Helm, and even Megna.

I was hoping I was wrong on him earlier in the year when he was on his hot streak, but I don't think I am. To me, he should be close to the bottom. I will say that he's fun to watch when he's hot though, and I do appreciate that he can play up and down the lineup. I don't see him as being anything different this year than he always has been though.

he's below sherwood, murray and macdermid on this list. he's better than that.

Agree. I think folks are overly optimistic by him (I hate thinking he might be on the second line next year). He's not a bad player though. Lots of intangibles and flexibility. He's nice to have.
