Throw in one of the D prospects and it's closer. I don't think he's moved unless the Hawks get equivalent to 4 or 5 first rounders in value. It would have to be a no brainer package.

I was thinking same structure for DeBrincat trade. Think we have to add more tho. Think it may take another player like Zacha or Smith to get it done. CHI fans, what do you think

Would you accept this or at least consider:

NJ Receives:

-Alex DeBrincat

CHI Receives:

-Alexander Holtz
-Ty Smith
-2022 1st round pick
-2023 3rd round pick

Consider sure, accept? No. DebRincat is 24 and is in the top 5 in goal scoring on a bottom 5 team. It's insanely difficult to quantify his value at this stage in his career. He's even on a bargain contract.

Debrincat trade just isn't gonna happen. This is better than most posts on here but a piece or two short imo

Can you even think of a trade comparable? Guys this young and this good just don't get traded. It doesn't make sense to give him up unless you're getting a stupid offer that wouldn't make sense for the acquiring team to give up.

Agree, it would have to be offer so good the other team says no. Just don't see it happening. Given his age and production so far, there are very very few players under 25 years old that have his value

Laine was struggling and wanted out.
Hall was chiarelli.
Seguin was chiarelli.
Neely and sundin happened way too long ago to be compared.

In other words, Blackhawks would first need to
1. See him struggle, demand trade;
2. Hire Chiarelli; or
3. Be unable to pay DeBrincat a new contract

Makes sense

Or you can just make a stupid offer that you'll certainly regret in the future.

I'll wait until Chirelli is hired. Worked for us in the past.

On a serious note, if Kubalik is moved, I could see Devils in on him.
