I'd say it's in the realm of possibility. They would be hoping he shows more offensive upside in a different scenario, but even barring that he could still be a useful bottom 6 player. Worth taking the chance.

Murray who has 3 more years of a terrible deal. Just get MAF already.

Gonna have to decline. Fair offer, but we're probably going to go for a center.

None of these are crazy, good job. Very risky goaltending but a very balanced team in front of them

Ottawa would .definitely be saving a couple million but honestly I think retaining sort of defeats the purpose of moving Murray. I'm not saying the trade is bad and Murrs definitely looked amazing the last two games after the AHL stint but I think the money in and out of this trade might make it easier to just ride Murray's last 2 years out.

Tried building that forward depth with what I could. EDM defence is way out in left field, hence moving lots of draft picks

I'd say the red wings decline. A first round pick is nice but Detroit will be taking on 8 million in salary for Kassian over the next 2 1/2 years and 3.3 million on Smith over the next 1 1/2 years. That's allot of dead wieght for a long time for a first. Not to mention clogging up roster spots.

Very true. Edmonton would have to give up more Comp or Raphael Lavoie, Evan Bouchard. Etc
