Description
though i didn't acquire the biggest names i went for fit rather then skill
hertl and lindholm those guys would be nice but i don't see sweeney spending that high of a price on just one single player
our 2C needs to be a past first guy we have 2 good goal scorers on that line already but we lack the set up guy. haula has done very well so far on that line but i think domi is the better true playmaker and he also can play with a bit of an edge

one thing that is certain is we need more defensively reliable guys, our defence makes to much mistakes and i think gavrikov would be a solid addition to fix some of them.
i think chariot or mcnabb would be good options too but out of the 3 gavrikov is definitely the best offensively and so id rather pay the steeper price for that and the extra year on his contract
Trades
1.
BOS
  1. Domi, Max ($2,650,000 retained)
  2. Gavrikov, Vladislav
Additional Details:
very underrated
solid PK guy and can eat up a lot of minutes
decently physical and a decent shot blocker as well
6'3 215 he is a big body that is hard to get around and his offensive game has took a good jump in terms of production this season, leads team in EV assists(15)

considering he has been playing with boqvist and peeke all season im sure he would produce even better with mcavoy as a d partner

Domi once looked like a promising young center, he had a few tough seasons but is now looking to re emerge again, he is a pass first guy and did very well setting up Pax in montreal (44) assists in 2018-19 and i wonder if being lined with pasta and hall if he could produce at that rate again.

both players are 26 so they have a future still rather then a past which is the type of guys B's need to add
CBJ
  1. DeBrusk, Jake
  2. Studnicka, Jack
  3. 2022 1st round pick (BOS)
  4. 2023 3rd round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
would be willing to add a little more if needed
2.
BOS
  1. Clutterbuck, Cal ($1,750,000 retained)
  2. 2022 5th round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
solid bottom 6 guy, hustles hard plays physical and is willing to stand up for his teammates. unsure if NYI would be willing to move him but id definitely like him on our team to sure up our 4th line
NYI
  1. Clifton, Connor
  2. 2022 3rd round pick (CGY)
Additional Details:
trotz i feel would like cliftons style, he's only 5'11 but he hits hard and hits a lot. he's always hustling, his defensive IQ needs to be worked on as sometimes he takes himself out of position when going for a big hit but i feel trotz would be able to help him with that

Columbus doesn’t take that, they really like Gavrikov and Domi is having a pretty good season. The players going the other way have little value

i wouldn't say they have little value debrusk is worth atleast a 2nd and stud just isn't getting the opportunity to play in the nhl, he continues to improve his 2 way game added some weight to have more size for the nhl he has done everything he has been asked to do but cassidy must have something against him like he does most young guys. not saying stud is some A+ prospect or anything but he has 2c potential and will most likely be a solid 3c if he doesn't live up to his full potential

I like Domi for BOS, but I don't see CBJ trading Gavrikov.

Lol what? Nobody is giving up a 2nd worth for DeBrusk. And Studnicka maybe had that potential when he was drafted like 4 years ago. Any projections now show at best he would be a 3C

it is funny you guys say debrusk is bad and not worth a 2nd but as soon as you trade for him on your acgm's you guys stick him on the 1st line. what debrusk can bring to a team and his potential are still worth atleast a 2nd.

i also see you guys talk so highly about ryan merkley yet he is literally in the same position as stud. they both produce great in the ahl but never get their opportunity in the nhl

i think if the price is right columbus might consider it so whether that be adding another prospect or pick or something as long as they aren't asking for 2 1sts, lysel, lohrei or harrison i'd be open to moving any other picks and prospects or young players on the brink of making the team

Merkley just finally got in the NHL this year and he is staying because he’s playing well, unlike Studnicka in Boston. I’ve never trading for DeBrusk let alone put him on a first line on a team I would make. He isn’t worth that, he would be sold already if teams thought he was worth that and Boston’s ask

Boston isn't selling cheap and sweeney definitely isn't moving him for picks. sweeney most likely trades him in a package for an upgrade

i also wouldn't say merkley is playing that good he is an offensive dman and he isn't producing that well. his defence is shaky and hes pretty small which doesn't help

you would think you are a canadians or maple leafs fan the way you hate on every single thing about boston

He’s played really well defensively actually, hasn’t produced much offense at all. The best trade they get is like DeBrusk for Crouse or something like that or he walks in the offseason.
