I mean, he's played 10 games this year and 27 over his career so far. He was awful last year but has played well so far this year. Expecting this kind of value for a 27 year old goalie with 27 NHL games of experience is just wild to me. Goalies that have better stats over more games don't even get returns like this.

Husso is a UFA after this season. He's a rental with no history of success and doesn't carry that kind of value.

Can't see anyone giving up more than a middle-round pick which the Blues need less badly than they'd need a goalie to back up Binner, so it's probably not worth pursuing. I get what you're saying, that the return would need to be this good to consider it, I just don't see it happening.
