it was a pearson deal but I changed my mind. division rivals and i doubt pearson would waive for just a slightly better team

I think we need to be seeking more value if we are retaining 50% of Miller's contract next season. The argument could be made that he is producing like an $8M player and to get him for $2.5M is a game-changer for any contender. Rangers and their fans seem higher on Schneider than Lundkvist so I think Lundkvist + 1st + 2nd + 4th is an acceptable package if we are retaining.

I doubt Calgary would have much interest in Pearson either considering his cap hit, term, and lack of need for that position

Yeah I could see something like that, maybe even a forward prospect instead of one of the picks. I don’t think Rangers will trade Schneider. Nils much more likely

Per the Cold Stove Podcast with NRD JT Miller to NYR is highly unlikely.

At this point I don’t want him at all. Luxury not a necessity.

I love how these are getting progressively lopsided

NYR decline. Miller is not what we NEED, he is a WANT, we will not sink our future 2nd pair RD for a "win now" acquisition.
