TDL Final Answer

Created by: TMLBRIAN
Team: 2021-22 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 20, 2022
Published: Jan. 20, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is it. They go all in for this year and next.

Robertson can be Amirov in that Van trade.

Lines can be adjusted as needed.

This team would be a nightmare to deal with and has a lot of depth to play around with different options if there are injuries or people playing poorly.

No thanks! This is a pretty solid offer from the Leafs though. 2nd, Dermott who is a serviceable young dman who is signed at a good cap hit for next year and a mediocre prospect. If they can get more than this, than they should definitely take it.

No deal from Vancouver.

I don't see Miller being part of the long term in Vancouver. They have a lot of solid young pieces. I don't see van winning this year or next, so selling him now for a good package may be your best bet. (Same with Horvat but they may be able to extend Horvat at a good cap)

1st, 2 very solid prospects would be enticing to Vancouver. I understand they retain AND take on Ritchies contract but both are crippling to them in the short or long term.

I think they should and would consider and offer like this.

Let me think, on LD we have: Chairot, kulak, niku, edmundson, clague, romanov. In pipeline we have: Guhle, norlinder, Harris, struble. Therefore we surely don't need Dermott

He has been playing on the right a lot this season also. He plays both sides. Would be a good option to take pressure off the young guys next year.

Even if MTL wanted Dermott the price is still way higher then u have here, feels like an unwritten rule that you don't trade with rivals unless someone's getting ripped off.

and MTL and Toronto just don't make meaningful trades

I think Miller is in Vancouver's long-term plans. Here's the problems with your offer, the 1st round pick isn't until '23, we have to take Ritchie's contract back, you want salary retention, and nothing that you offered meets the Canucks current needs. If Miller is getting traded the Canucks would get a better offer from another team.

Dermott would be like 4th or 5th on the Habs LD and that's without considering Guhle or Notlinder. Montreal passes cause we don't want or need Dermott. It takes a 1st + for Montreal to consider, and nothing in the Leafs offer is worth that.

Chicago declines that's a horrible trade for Fleury.

Thats a Hard No from CHI. Take out Mrazek and the 2nd and you would be able to start discussions.
