Playoff lineup and TDL if Sharks make it

Created by: Bias_it_self
Team: 2021-22 San Jose Sharks
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 20, 2022
Published: Jan. 20, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Sorry if trades are off.

3 scoring lines and a strong defensive 4th line. Extra line of Viel-Weatherby-Raska if needed.
Tried to keep our firsts, but at the same time get quality players to fill needed roles. Should probably move Riemer at this TDL regardless for a good return as he's playing really well; probably moved at the TDL or Draft.

I would prefer to keep Reimer but if we can get a first i get it.
probably not getting that trade for Konecny but I’d like to get a guy like him or Toffoli to fill a long term RW spot.
chytil not sure he fits a need with bordeleau or Robins being 1-2 years from taking that spot.

Are we rebuilding again?! 👀

Don’t see NYR looking for picks, Chytil would be moved in a package for a bigger piece to the playoff run.

Konecny is younger and still has room to grow imo. Would probably fit better in future plans.

As for Reimer, I feel like we should move him soon while his value is high. Taking advantage of Hollands desperation, we could get a 1st in order to add a bigger piece.

Fair enough. Sharks don’t really have anything to offer in this scenario that fits the request besides Gregor.

I only see ya interested in Hertl but I’m pretty confident he resigns soon

I'd be ok with that Konecny trade.

100% approve of this roster. I don't think the Sharks would need to retain on any Labanc salary if they send Wiesblatt+a 1st rounder too. And if they do, maybe 15% retention.

Chytil is my ideal 3rd line center as well for the team. Buy low with only a 2nd and 4th but the ceiling is high.

Both guys fill desperately needed roles on this team (a top-6 winger and a 3rd line center) and do for the long-term as they're both young. Also, for what it's worth, they're both (at least part) Czech, so another reason for Hertl to stay.

100% agree with the thought process on trading Reimer when his value's at its highest if it nets us a 1st.

It's interesting you brought in Eklund this year too. I think it's a bold but also realistic prediction to think SJ brings him in for the playoffs for a boost should they make it in.
