Quick reset
Good rid of players not producing enough. To teams that have a need for them.
Taking a bad contract in exchange for gally.
With luck that some french veterans will sign and keep some good veteran have a 10 team in the league with a good mixture of veteran and youngsters.
+ extra pick that make sure we have a good team for long term .
Ex: top 5 pick this year will be a center taking Giroux place in 2 year. Kaiden for letang/petry. Etc

The bad contract in the Walker/Gallagher swap is Gallagher's.

Kings say no. Just like they would say no to every single Gallagher trade from the past two weeks on this site.

Viel-Weatherby-Raska is gonna be one of the best 4th lines in 2 to 3 years, we have no incentive to make this trade.

It's hilarious that you think Los Angeles would desire Gallagher's 5-year contract paying him $34 million because Sean Walker's 2-year, $6.35 million deal is a "bad contract." Absolutely hilarious.

Just a side note: Walker turns 30 after his current deal expires. Gallagher turns 30 before his last 5 years begins.
