can anyone tell me what the Islanders would want from CHI to acquire Raty regardless of how unrealistic or crazy the price is?

Also don’t call Chara a doofus lol. That man has been finessing the league for a few seasons now. He should retired when leaving Boston but his worth ethic said no lemme make as much as I can before I leave the league.

Islanders should move Beauvillier. Return would be large, and will probably need to move his cap hit eventually anyway.

It would be actually be selling low, and why would they need to move his cap hit anyways? He's a two way stud and he's their only top 6 lw under the age of 25.

Only if they get a really high-quality LHD (Fowler, Chychrun, Girard, etc.). Otherwise I'd rather keep him. He's been a lot better recently after his massive slump.

Throw Chara into the Edmonton trade, that's exactly the kind of guy Ken Holland would value. He was really good on decades past.

So many of their forwards would be harder to move, either because of no-trade clauses, or contracts that are too big. And I imagine they aren't moving any more of their d-men. So if they are going to have to clear salary in next 12-18 months before Dobson, Barzal, Wahlstrom sign bigger deals...could move him now for a couple ELCs. Just a thought.

theyd probably just shed the salary from bailey (who would have 1 year left when barzal is an RFA again and wahlstrom is off his elc). plus 5mil off from Varlamov, clutterbuck taking less or gone. I think theyll be alright
