I doubt Buffalo is not on Murphy's no-trade list.

It's a 10 team no trade list and it doesn't even kick in until after his new contract starts

Yeah, and why would we trade him before his team-friendly contract with term comes into play? Especially considering our defense has been horrid this year.

Because you guys are a disaster and it was reported that only 3 players were off limits and he was not one of them.

That's not a reliable rumor, considering that DeBrincat is not an untouchable (he is, let's not kid ourselves here), along with Reichel and Dach.

It'd take more than that for the hawks to trade murphy.

We know we are a disaster and gutted our team and staff and started over.

You traded for Tyler Johnson and gave away a kidney for Seth Jones and then gave him 76 million.

Wouldn't trade places with Chicago for anything.

That's without the sexual assault coverup

As a Buffalo, even if Murphy is not untouchable, it would take a lot to get him, probably starting with a first and a good prospect. Big Physical RHD who play 20+ mins a night in a top four role are not easy to comeby and Victor Olafsson makes no sense for Chicago. Look what Rasmus Ristolainen got, and probably more out of desperation because of supply and demand. His goal totals and shooting has regressed every year since hes been in the league, although a lot of it may be due to the team he's on, and he's a perimeter player who doesnt go to the net. He is a semi-productive top nine forward who should fetch a second and can be a great role player on playoff team. Not a piece for a rebuilding team.

montreal is selling right now, not emptying there shelves for no reason, firstly hes actually a good forward, second as tankers right now were gonna be dumping a lot of contracts so his big cap hit isnt bad for us in fact it can be benificial to help meet the cap floor and he can be a great mentor for our young small forwards on skill speed and saftey, no real reason to move especially when were paying you for it

LMAO as if you wouldn't have loved to see your team ever lift the cup let alone multiples. You would trade places with the Hawks easily versus going through a rebuild every few years unless of course you're a gluten for punishment.

Probably maximum that I would offer for Murphy is 1st FLA + Johnson/Laaksonen, if Chicago is not interesting, I would look elsewhere.

For the front office sure, but works to the fans benefit as we all wanted Bowman gone anyway

You guys have a worst record, haven't had a good playoff run in years let alone ever a cup. The Sabres have been about the worst run organization with star players demanding trades. I'm gladly a Hawks fan over a Sabres fan period.

So you think right now, at this moment, Chicago is set up better for long term success than Buffalo?

    Good luck.

The sabres WERE a very poorly run organization.

The chicago blackhawks ARE a very poorly run organization.

and yet as we play an ECHL goalie today, our 6th goalie of the year, with over 200 man games missed due to injury in the beginning of a rebuild that saw us trade off Eichel, Reinhart and Ristolainen, we are only a handful of points behind the Hawks.

Our team is extremely young, our prospect pool is the best in the league, we have 4 first and 4 second round picks total in the next 2 very deep drafts and we overhauled our hockey department.

Your goalie is 37, Toews and Kane have 1.5 years left. You traded your future for Seth Jones and your most of your leadership resigned for covering up sexual assault for a decade.

But if you prefer Chicagos situation looking forward to buffalos, i dont know what to tell you

Unless you're giving us a decent pick or player, I don't think Byron should be traded, especially dumped.

Most of the Hawks leadership? You mean 2 people and the GM we were all glad to see leave. The Hawks won't be relevant for a couple of years, but it's the 3rd most valuable organization in the league by revenues and they clearly will spend a ton of money on the team. I'm not worried about the Hawks not being competitive in the future. They will make moves and find themselves right back in the thick of things. And clearly being an avid fan since the early 90s, they've had a lot of success and have been fun to watch.
