So what player(s) are TB waiving to get the cap space? They have zero space and no waivers eligible contracts so this isn't happening.

    That’s what LTIR is for

If I'm the Panthers, Anton Lundell is near untouchable in any trade. He is in the first year of his ELC and already on a 50-point pace. You're talking about a guy who is making $1M this season when his production would dictate at least $5M once extended, and he is only twenty.

So who is going to get hurt. You can't just stick a guy on LTIR because you want to open cap space.

Tell that to the 2020-21 Lightning.

I agree. As good as Chychrun is, Florida would be foolish to make this deal. I'm just going off what the reports say.

No one misses the exact amount of time just to be *perfectly ready* for a three point playoff debut. Injury wasn't faked, but they kept him out for the regular season, no doubt.

Did you not see his return this year 2 assists first night back after missing 26 games and almost 3 months

Panthers should run the other way as fast as they can from that deal. Chychrun isn’t near that good.

Huge overpay for Chychrun. They wouldn't give Lundell for him 1 for 1 and I doubt they do Knight and a 1st either

They delayed him having the surgery to set it up that way Gourde 2 years prior Point the previous year both 3 months to skating and 2 months to playing

He was skating for two months, fully for last 4 weeks. It is what it is.

Lou Lamoriello used to pull all sort of shenanigans with cap, we never denied it.

People will complain about it, but mostly because Lightning won two cups.

The reports never said this was the price, though. It's been reported to be a 1st, a good young player, and a great prospect.

So basically, something like Tippett, 1st and Denisenko/Samoskevich should do the trick
