Habs fan here. I think your value for Evans is good but I think he’s more valuable to the Habs than a 3rd rounder right now. So I don’t think they would

Nothing in the Chicago package is worth a 1st, 4th liners arnt worth 3rds

Spot on, CHI don't want any of those spare parts. Your late 1st is of no value for a good RHD who just resigned with term and the reigning Vezina retained at 50%.

Yeah, and the leafs dont need a defensive defender who cant defend very well and an old goalie who is a pending ufa and having a middling season at the cost of a 1st

That’s a no from EDM and CHI. Mrazek isn’t the solution in net for Oilers and Chicago probably want another high pick or a good prospect. They don’t need/want Holl or Kral.

Murphy isn't really a good RHD though. He's got negative analytics across the board. And before you say he's the only defenceman playing well. Jones has better numbers as do DeHaan and Gustafson. Murphy isn't a 4.4 million dollar shutdown defenceman. He's a 2 million dollar bottom 4 defenceman. I don't see him as an upgrade over Holl.

Holl has better numbers than Murphy and makes less than half next season

MAF would certainly be a pretty smart insurance policy but I also wouldn't want to pay a high price for him.

Ya'll have no clue what you are talking about with Murphy. You are probably looking at his +/- for this season and thinking that number defines him. He is probably top 5 defensive minded RD in the league. CHI's club is flawed this season from roster to coaching to management and chemistry to mentality. And a bunch of their really good players are looking bad on paper because of it. They need an overhaul. So when you ask for him and fleury half retained, I don't think that's enough. It's probably close. But I'm still not sold on Kral and Holl is a cap dump/depth dman.

Glad you think this. He's not for sale because he is a good D man who would arguably be a top line RD on other teams in the league including the leafs. You may want to pay for an RD if you want to get out of the 1st round this year....
