Yeap, it would be difficult to get a player like Spurgeon, given that he is the captain there and has NMC.

It would definitely help Wild salary cap, but he has a full NMC so probably not going to except a trade to Buffalo and he is the Wild captain so Wild probably aren't looking to move him.

I do agree he is the type of player who would do wonders for the Sabres.

Just having some fun. His age and the cap struggles could make it possible from Minn. Perspective. It will be hard to keep that team together unless a large salary goes. IMO it's a strong offer too.

I agree spurgeon would work wonders for the sabres, but I think it would take a bit more to get him away from the wild. Contract in place for so much term and he’s so sound as a player.

Good trade for both sides. Just not sure the Sabres would be able to show enough for him to waive his NMC, but love the idea
