We just witnessed last game what it looks like when 2 defenceman are hurt. Biega is not an NHL player. They can't afford to move out their depth.

Klingberg is a good player, good d-man, wrong type. All our D prospects or young guns are the same, puck movers, little physicality. Games get tough, those players value get lower.

Travis Dermott and Justin Holl was already rumored to be out the door for a bigger name.

I would say Brett Pesce, but he's worth way more than Klingberg right now, and Carolina would want an arm and a leg for a Top 3 Defensive Defenseman in the league.

At some point, they'll have to pony up, regardless of who it is. You either draft these guys or trade for them... and the Leafs certainly don't draft the bigger d-man.

as I see right now best options if not Klingberg it's probably gotta be Soucy or Giordano in Seattle. Because they are cheaper obviously Giordano's contract isn't but they have enough cap room to really just take half of the contract for the rest of the year.

They were on the rumour mill early in the season which was later proved to be false. Right now I think TO wants to add not subtract.

The rumour was that 1 of them were to be moved. Not both. Moving both is leaving no depth. When Muzzin inevitably gets hurt in playoffs again they'd be screwed

Why do so many think Klingberg is actually good (except on the PP). A massive overpay for JK, and Ritchie isn't going anywhere...maybe a second round sweetener this summer.
