I know CAR asked about Kapanen in offseason before KK offersheet, but if PIT was trading Kapanen in division, it would have to be a pretty big pay.

ZAR > Deslaurier

Deslauries offers what the Pens need and he does to defensive stuff ZAR does such as PK and match ups. I feel paired with Blueger and McGinn, Deslauries will be just as good.

Regardless of the fit, ZAR is ten times the player Deslaurier is. Pens DO NOT need to add to get him. If anything, ANA would need to tack on a 3rd or 4th to make this happen.

I think instead of a 4th, a 6th. Thing is, there is a demand for the type of player Deslauries. They wanted him last year and deal fell through, so I'd imagine they'd circle back again this year. It's even been stated by Elliotte Friedman.

Why would you mess with the chemistry of a team that has won 15 of its last 17?

I really love these moves, Kapanen needs a change of scenery, and the Deslaurias move is exactly what we need. He would bring a ton of toughness to the team and help protect a lot of our players in the playoffs. Playoffs are different than regular season and we can't get pushed around like the Islanders did to us last year. DeBrusk is also great return. Really like all of these.

Because Rodrigues has basically stepped in and played a much bigger role than Kapanen. I don't think getting rid of Kapanen will hurt the chemistry at all...he hasn't been doing much and last night got moved off the second line again. At some point somethings gotta give

I disagree with this, they're both good and bring different skills to the table, but they don't have any players as physical as Deslaurias, which is something they need. They have other players who can fill ZAR's role.

Because he can provide a spark for secondary scoring. Him and debrusk just need a change of scenery

All Deslaurier is, is physical. He's a terrible player in his own end and has little, if any, offensive upside.

ZAR has one goal all season... and you need physical players on the team too, there are many different roles that make a complete playoff team.

I'm just saying Deslaurier is not worth MORE than ZAR.

Bruins don’t need RW.
