That is a super fair deal for Toffoli, well done! Unfortunately, Montreal should decline but only because the crazy fan base would be too much to handle for two highly touted French Canadian players, in my opinion.

Bourgault is a 1st lol

Lavoie is a bust. I’ve seen him a dozen times in Halifax and even in his draft year, he was a do not draft until the 4th round. He’s talented but had zero hockey IQ. He got by on talent alone in juniors but that doesn’t fly at higher levels. You even saw it at the world juniors too. While he didn’t get that much ice time, even during that time he looked lost and overwhelmed. Since, in the AHL he has done nothing to change that. I get some prospects wrong of course, but I was bang on on Lavoie. He is a bust and no, Habs don’t care that he’s French. I wouldn’t trade a mid round pick at this point for him. Maybe a 6-7th but that’s it.

So that Toffoli deal is for XB straight up in my opinion. That’s not enough. Toffoli is a 1st plus all day long.

I would disagree with that. I think XB is same value of a 1st. He was just drafted in the middle of the first round last year and has played well since - certainly not enough to drop his value below a 1st rounder.

Let’s not dunk on oilers fans too much here. They are having a hard stretch here as a team but XB is a 1st round legit talent.

Lavoie on the other hand, this guy is a bust all day long.
