Don't care for either team but I would think it's a fair trade.

"Leafs would get their guy " Why does anyone think JK is that special to be "their guy"

Exactly, the only reason JK even makes sense for the leafs is he shoots right, he wouldn’t be a fit, he’s basically a slightly better version of Barrie at this point

Leafs are too easy to play against and need grit. Why, then, would they acquire a softie dman?

Without Robertson, Niemela, or Knies in the deal, I don’t see Dallas making this trade. Think it gets beat out by another team.

Certainly not the worst offer I've seen but I feel the Stars still could get a better deal elsewhere. Swap Hirvonen for Niemela/Knies/Robertson/Amirov and take out the 3rd and we're talking.

I don't agree with this, I think he would be a very good fit, Toronto's system fits his playstyle way better than Dallas does, he's more of a puck moving dman than just a PPQB. Comparing to Barrie is odd to me because Barrie was so far from Toronto's only problem on defense that year

Klingberg is a hell of a lot better than Holl. That's why he's there guy. Thats why he's a viable option.
The only other guy in my opinion is Mayfield.

Barrie was the worse Leaf Dman the year that he played for the Leafs. Leafs don't need a PP QB. Holl was better and even Ceci played the tough minutes was better They need a Dman to play well at even strength and the PK. That ain't current version of JK

But JK isn't a "hell of lot better than Holl". Holl plays heavy minutes, against top lines and the PK. The current edition of JK doesn't do that well at all.
