Pens Are WInning The Cup This Season

Created by: Agent_Of_R9
Team: 2021-22 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 22, 2022
Published: Jan. 22, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I don't like to make predictions midway through the season but I think the Pens are winning the cup this year. There's just not a major weakness on the team, and they are the perfect puck-possession team. They have good neutral zone structure, relentless forecheck and speed to compliment the elite talents on the team.

I wish TOR played with the same courage as this team, they just don't have the desire or mentality.

Tbh, I could've kept Zucker but I do wonder if a change of scenery will be good for him. He is on paper a great fit for the team, he just can't catch a break.

You’ve had some weird takes. Declaring a cup winner in january might be the worst yet.

Boston counters with Debrusk and Moore for Guentzel. That’s how bad that is.

Boston declines easily. Like that’s not even close for Hall. Not that I think Hall would waive anyway.

This is clearly not enough but I think he would waive for Pittsburgh. They're better than Boston and his 2 centers this year have been Erik Haula and Charlie Coyle... I think I'd take Malkin if I were him

Thanks for the feedback. I’m not sure what Hall is worth tbh, but I think a swap for Zucker wouldn’t be too bad? Zucker’s best season came alongside Coyle so I think he’d be good if he can stay healthy.

Hall’s a good forecheck, very Hagelin like. So I think he’s a guy Sully would like.

Not saying they are. But they are. But there are better teams in the eastern conference better than the pens

How many times have you said that only to be told otherwise.

Robot or too many shots to the head?

Zucker at 5m with term has zero trade value. You’d have to pay someone to take him. Retain half you can get a 3rd maybe a 2nd. You could put Riikolo on waivers, better players have cleared.

I don’t care if Coyle and Zucker were lovers. Boston would not touch that with a ten foot pole. They don’t need another wing.

Hall is worth more than a cap dump and waiver trash.

Hall has always wanted to play in Boston and wanted the NMC. He’s not waiving it.

Either you are arguing points you know are wrong just to be a dick. Or you are a bot.

Maybe Carolina is better than them but I don’t see a team with as much talent, speed, structure and forecheck as PIT.

I don’t think Zucker is a cap dump like you’re implying. He’s just been really unlucky the past 2 seasons, he started 20/21 with Geno who was terrible and his results suffered. When he started to rejuvenate he got injured. This season he started well and got injured. I think swapping him for Hall who hasn’t really fit alongside Coyle would be considerable for BOS.

He is.nobody will take that contract as is without you paying them too. Cap dump.

Coyle and Hall are not playing together.

Hall has fit in fine in Boston. Won’t waive.

A Zucker for Hall swap is as lopsided as a Foligno for Guentzel swap.

Well, you thought wrong.

Simply way of looking at it.

Bruins want hall.
Bruins don’t want zucker.

Kind of the end of the story right there.

I just think BOS has had to make a lot of accommodations to get Hall to play at an elite level, like they broke up the perfection line. So that’s why I wonder if it’s more worth it for them to acquire Zucker who knows how to play with Coyle.

Florida had a better start than PIT but I don’t feel confident about their defence.

Your forgetting goal tending. Bob has been excellent and knight has been ok. That tandem is better than jarry and desmith 100%. There defense is fine and the offense is lethal and could embarrass teams

Just quick it dude. It’s a really really really poorly thought out idea. Hall at his worst is better than zucker at his best. Zucker and Coyle haven’t played together for a long long time. They’re both completely different players.

The bruins didn’t break up any lines to get hall going. The moved things around to try to balance their lineup. It worked. Really well.

Bruins don’t want zucker under any circumstances, ever.
Bruins want hall, they just traded for him and signed him.
Hall has no trade protection. He wants to be in Boston, badly.

Not. Gonna. Happen.
