Tried to remain under the cap without getting too complicated. Depth is destroyed but if all remain healthy, this can win the Cup.

Coghlan at one point was rumored to be a potential piece of Eichel trade. Carrier is a decent depth forward. Not sure if this is enough for Buffalo doing a cap favor but might be. Brossoit at least offers a bridge for Luukkonen next year. Foley won’t care about paying Boychuk as long as it doesn’t count towards cap but does help Buffalo’s real life finances here.

Yeah, Brossoit does nothing really for Buffalo. The question is is Coghlan and Carrier enough to get them to take his salary off Vegas’ cap hit this and next year. Or Coghlan and Nolan Patrick?

Carrier doesn’t do much
We have 3 young forwards ready to join our top9 next season (Quinn, Krebs & Pererka)
So we are all set with forwards unless someone is an obvious upgrade, which Carrier is not
Idk that Patrick would be either, as our Centers in the top9 will be Tage Thompson, Cozens, Krebs & Mittelstadt

So Buffalo gives up an injured GK and pure cap dump for:
Coghlan, RHD
Carrier, hard hitting LW
and Brossoit over paid GK
Buffalo needs RHD, more grit and obviously more GK.
What myopic Buffalo fan would say no to this? I would make this trade as Buffalo will not be exceeding the cap for several years.
I think Buffalo still needs Boychuk to reach to cap floor, so you could take him out of the trade.
