detroit adds, girard’s cost controlled for a long time even if he’s slightly more expensive in the short term

I dont think either side does it. Detroit has no incentive to move Hronek, and Avs if they did move Girard they would be targeting that young cost controlled fwd, moving him for a Dman who only has 2 years left on his contract vs Girards 5 years would be a head scratcher, to save 1m for 2 years in cap why make the move. Hronek will be making more than 5m in 2 years

COL doesn’t do that at all. If they move Girard it’s going to be for a top 6 forward similar in age locked up for similar term in the off season. Plus COL has Makar, EJ, Barron, and Helleson on the right side in addition Girard is better on the right side and Byram can play on the right to if needed.

As contenders, Colorado has no reason to downgrade for a similirar caphit. CF also list Girard as a LD/RD.

I agree Detroit has a few good LHD prospects and not many RHD prospects. Lindstrom is a defensive defenseman he won't put up a lot of points and is almost an ideal 3rd pair dman.

I'd love Detroit to get Girard but swapping him for hronek just moves a hole on the left for a hole on the right.

Compher for Kuok...would definitely consider that. Have always liked Compher. But NJD probably sticks with the younger guy.
