Weird to make these trades all retroactive to 2002 when these guys weren't even in the league.

Yes, the Oilers need a goalie but Barrie plus a 1st to obtain a back-up who is on LTIR for the next 8 weeks makes zero sense.

Likely have to buyout Byron.

Have to pay someone to take Weber as an LTIR.

I think if you retain $1M on Byron he becomes moveable. As-is, OTT declines.

Every day, a new defenseman seems to become available. Now some people are even speculating whether Provorov is on the move.

That's why Habs fans will be disappointed with the return from Chiarot. Now that the Oilers aren't willing to trade their 1st, I can't see any other team giving that up.
