Cue the Sharks fans that think Hertl should get 1st/Kaako/Schneider in 3…2..

In fairness it’s lite. Don’t see Georgiev being of much interest to them. 1st/Chytl. Or 1st/Kravstov is fair value.

Everyone declines. I just don't see the point in trading team's top assets for Rangers' B-prospects.

Cue the delusional Bruins fans who think they're getting a star player for DeBrusk, Senyshyn and 2nd.

There are not many of them. But the few there are create a lot of ACGMs. Most of those type posts come from other teams fans. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Then again the vast majority of the delusional Bruins fans posts are 1st/Debrusk/Studnicka which is fair market value when comparing past trades of rentals of similar value. I have seen very few 2nd/Debrusk/Seny for Hertl. The one i did, was not a Bruins fan that created it.

Matt Duchesne was a good comparable. 1st and 2 B-/C+ prospects.

Ryan O’Reilly had 5 years left on his contract. 1st, 2nd, Thompson, Berglund, spare part. Sharks fans think a lesser player that’s a rental deserves a bigger return. Whose delusional?

Is Kravtsov a B prospect because of potential and skills or is he a B prospect because he returned to Russia and asked to be traded?

How is Hertl a lesser player. Tomas has .87 PPG over the last 3 years. He's top ten in goals this year. You sir, are indeed delusional and lazy cause you don't even bother to read stats (if you can read stats)

O’Reilly .88pg last 3. .71ppg for his career. Hertl .66. O’reilly is one of the premier defensive centers in the game as well. If all you can do is read a box score to evaluate players no wonder you are always way off. Not a single GM in league takes Hertl over ROR.

ROR is a top 15 center. Hertl is in the 15-25 range. It’s not a huge gap, but it’s a gap. Then factor in term. Keep fanboying though.

Little bit of both but more of the latter. He reminds me of a new Nikita Scherbak, really.

I don't really see much of a NHL future with the guy and wouldn't invest on him. But who knows maybe I'm wrong.

Just going to say that of Rangers' B prospects he's probably the last I'd target to if I were trading Pavelski to NYR.

If we were going to trade Joe to NY, I would love for Nill to get that type of return:

Joe + Kiviranta (or any one of our NHL bottom six that they want) for a 1st round pick and any of those D (Schneider-Robertson-Lundkvist) + Kravtsov

I would gladly give them any picks outside a 1st or a 2nd and/or a B prospect to make this work.

Would you trade Mika for that Hertl return?

It’s not what the sharks need unless they trade Reimer, Chytil has much lower value now with his performance this season and you aren’t offering a 1st. No from San Jose

What if Rangers take Reimer back and then add?

Reimer has the value of a 2nd right now, cheap deal and played well this year with another year on his deal. He’s not some throw in. I don’t see the sharks moving Hertl without getting a 1st plus more with how well he has played this year. I’d want this:

To San Jose: 1st round pick, Schneider, Georgiev

To Rangers: Hertl, Reimer half retained
