Think you're a draft pick away from chychrun. Vancouver may say yes. Detroit probably takes it. Nemeth can't be any worse than what we have and we need ld for next season.

I wonder if Arizona would retain a little on Chychrun if we added more. We could add Georgiev and a pick. That way we could sign a better back-up.

You would have to add more for Arizona to even consider. They are wanting an Eichel like return, and they will get one if Chychrun is traded. You are at least a first round pick and a top prospect away from Chychrun, and if they are retaining on Chychrun, you can tack on at least one more first round pick and another prospect. Chychrun is Arizona’s best asset, and if teams want him, they would have to give up more than they would want to. Which is ultimately why I think Chychrun ends up staying with the Yotes.

Halak is a pretty solid backup, but he is up there in age so I get it.

Honestly, Im not interested in adding a pick on Chychrun. I think Miller, who is a younger up and coming stud defenseman still on an ELC, with a former first round pick Kravtsov should be enough without any retention.

Rangers arent giving up all that in a swap of Miller for Chychrun, thats a move backwards for the Rangers.

I agree with both a 2nd to take Nemeth I'm all for it. Arizona wants a 1st, a good young player and a top prospect.

If a trade like you proposed was all it would take to get Chychrun, a trade would have already occurred. Kravstov is damaged goods, if you will, as he wants out of NY. That diminished his trade value right there. Miller is up and coming, but he alone won’t get a deal done. You are overvaluing Miller just a bit right now, as he is just starting his career. That is nowhere year an Eichel like return, and as a reminder, the asking price for Eichel was 4 first round equivalents. Miller and Kravstov are not that. Miller is probably a first and a second right now, value wise, and Kravstov would be worth either a low second or a late third right now. So the package you proposed, would be about the equivalent of a first rounder and 2 second rounders, more or less. Arizona won’t consider that, no matter how highly you value Miller right now. Arizona will get an Eichel like return if they decide to trade Chychrun, which I doubt they end up doing unless it’s a package they can’t refuse. This is a package they could refuse.

Marek said Knight, Lundell, 1st is the PRICE for Chychrun
Marek also said the Rangers OFFERED Kravstov+ for Chychrun.
Offered does not mean the same as Price. Chychrun is gonna get more than Kravstov+. If the Coyotes don't get an offer they like, they can easily keep him like @evelutions2 said

I wouldn't do that trade now. I think you can get that in the summer if not at the 2023 deadline. It's not totally far off but nothing really exciting about it either. Especially given what we paid for Miller and how good he's been. Schneider ++ for me or wait it out.

I don’t necessarily disagree with you. I tend to think that Schneider has been built up as a prospect. He’s younger, but has limited offensive upside. He might be a better fit as a partner for Hughes. There’s obviously risk trading him now, but he could also be injured reducing his value as well
