Jets decline

These trades are garbage for every team that’s not the Habs.

you need to lower expectations for a trade.

Petry is now untradeable. 4 more years of 6+ million for a 34 year old who's clearly hitting the decline. No one has that space to waste.

I don’t know Pärssinen, but I like the idea for Nashville. Pretty realistic if Pärssinen is a B-C prospect.

I'll be surprised if a fourth-line forward like Perreault or a bottom-pairing defenseman like Kulak or Wideman gets two draft picks, or even one above a fifth-rounder.

By the way, you can't make a draft pick conditional upon a player's re-signing any more.

Yeah a point per game AHLer is worth more than a point per game NHLer who is on an amazing contract, you're just being biased and delusional

I’m not sure I see Drouin being a fit for Hynes’ system.

Probably fine value, I just think the team needs to change.

He's our best prospect, its his first year in the AHL. Hes got way more potential than him

Yeah, they are good. Only for the Habs though.

Canes want nothing to do with a one trick pony in Hoffman, especially for that price. While he could help our PP, he would be useless everywhere else on the ice. Toffoli will get a first, but he won’t get a first, top prospect, and another prospect. Calgary easily passes. Yotes aren’t trading Hayton just yet. Drouin won’t fit Nashville’s playing style. Rangers pass on both trades. Wideman and Kulak don’t get that much. At most they only get a 5th each, nothing more, but probably less. Allen likely gets traded, but I don’t think that it would be to Winnipeg. A team like Colorado or Carolina would be more likely to occur than to Winnipeg, albeit Allen might be really good backing up Hellebuyck.

Offer for Allen:
Canes: Allen
Habs: Raanta and 4th round pick

I disagree with Hoffman being useless everywhere else, he's definitely not good defensively, but in a system where players can play to their strengths (like Carolina) I think he would strive. It might not make sense to Carolina in particular, but he's a very useful player. You're saying those players won't fit on those particular, teams, but I think the trade values are ideal for those players, just wrong teams.

No, lehky should be traded for kravtsov, and a 3rd/ 4th. Chiarot and a 3rd should be traded for a 1st, and chytil. In theory you could cancel the 3rds, so the trade would be: Chiarot, lehkonen in exchange for kravtsov, chytil, 1st

Personally, I would pass on that counteroffer. I have always been high on Koivunen ever since he was drafted, and I really don’t see him being traded. The purpose of the deal I made was essentially a goalie swap. I could see it being a deadline move, and Carolina would have to add the pick, but I can’t imagine that the trade I proposed was that far off in terms of value. Allen has not been that good this year, and Raanta has had his share of struggles as well, but the gap between Raanta and Allen is not that much. Other potential swaps would include Halak, Holtby, and maybe even Lindgren or Husso.
