If that was all it cost for Toffoli, I think the Leafs make that trade.

Boston won’t trade a 1st for a 2nd pair rental. OK shouldn’t, this is Donny we talking about.

Oilers say no to the Price trade, but if Toffoli is available we'll take him for a 1rst rnd pick and X. Bourgault

Toffoli doesn't make a lot of sense for the Leafs. They need to be dropping cap this coming offseason. Picking up his 4 mil aav with term would be very difficult for them to do.

No we won't. We're about to get Kane and we have Puljujarvi, Yamamoto, Hyman, Nuge, Foegele all in the top 9? And on top of that, we won't be able to afford him next year either.

Most of those deals are giveaways for the Habs, with the exception of Chariot- who may be a good fit in Boston- but at absolute best he gets a late 2nd, more likely a 3rd unless the habs hold some salary to allow the bruins to add other pieces.

You mean every other team rejects right?

Addison is much more valuable than Petry

Armia is a cap dump and doesn’t get your Kravtsov

Arizona won’t give up picks for a bad contract

Edmonton isn’t giving up a top prospect for an aging, declining, injured, expensive goalie who won’t play this year

Only trades that maybe happen are the Toffoli and Chiarot trades, although probably with different teams

Your 2nd and 3rd sentence are correct that why I wrote MOSTLY. gally is not a cap dump he gets a 1st and a prospect he is only 29, anyone who watches him play night in night out realizes he is not a cap dump and is worth a 1st at least. I'm going to stop writing about price, he isn't worth nothing, he isn't anything you described him.

Gally may not be a complete cap dump, but he is starting to decline and in a couple years will likely be one of the worse contracts (which I hate to say as I love gally as a player) and is definitely not a fit for a team like Arizona

Price at this point is worth very little until he comes back and proves he can play at a high level. But he IS aging, has been declining, is out long term, and is too expensive unless 50% retained. Even then his current value is not high

Maybe gally is not a fit in ARZ but even thought he looks old he is only 29, he might not be fast, but he could still crash the net, get rebounds, play amazing 5 on 5 play. I don't want to hear this B.S anymore

1st Trade - Montreal isn't going to trade Gallagher for that little. He starts with a 1st + Top Prospect, no point in trading him unless we get that, otherwise he's our future captain.

2nd Trade - Fair value for Toffoli, but I don't see Montreal trading him to a divisional rival.

3rd Trade - What Chiarot is expected to go for at the TD, but I think a desperate team would pay more than that.

4th trade - No brainer for Montreal, among the worst contract in the league for a very good up and coming defender.

5th trade - Any value Montreal gets for Armia is a very good win.

6th trade - No point in trading Petry unless we get a very good asset, neither of these are that. Petry is a good leader and has value to Montreal.

Honestly I know most of the trades suck, but if we can get some good/younger players back for our decent older ones, then I think it's not bad. Especially if we want to rebuild we'll want to get some youngsters

Now that I look back on it, I do think that Chiarot isn't worth a 1st, maybe a late 2nd or 3rd at best. I guess I was just bias by thinking he's so good
