I’ve butted heads with them a few times. Most of the time quite logical. Obviously everyone has their own opinions and beliefs so I can’t blame someone for feeling a certain way. I just think when you take a step back, take bias out of the equation you can form a much more educated opinion. That’s how I try to approach conversations on here.

I feel like I've tried to do that time and time and again, but with homers, it's nearly impossible to get them to take the bias out of their opinions. You can always tell because they either try to exaggerate the asset value of their own team, or they try to downplay the asset values of other teams, and I find they typically express the latter with a degree of toxicity

That's cool. I didn't say it's good for the Canucks, I just said it's bad for Winnipeg. Giving away a bonafide 1C, for an older player, with less term and a luxury winger that the Jets can't afford to re-sign is crazy. If the Jets trade Scheifele it has to be for his full value and for players that fill a long term need for the Jets.

Just because someone doesn't like the deal for their team doesn't mean they're calling your players bad. Take off your Canuck blinders and look at it from the other teams point of view instead of just always crying about "you're just a homer and don't like my team's players". Be slightly objective.

I mean if you added something to the conversation about how this helps the Jets and hurts the Canucks or would be worth discussing. But you just to complain without adding anything of substance in your posts.

I do see this trade from the Jet's perspective, and I think it's a relatively fair deal, not saying you have to agree. I've seen your comments on other threads, and you sound somewhat biased sometimes, sometimes I think it's you who needs to take of your Jet's blinders, that's why it sounds like I'm complaining, because from what I've read, I can't say you are someone who's judgement I'd be the first to get behind, nothing personal

Sure, it goes both ways. I've seen your posts on Canucks players as well and they are anyways heavily tainted with a Vancouver bias, which is why I also discount your evaluation of trades involving Canucks players.

I rarely comment on the value of a trade because as you said we all have biases and real hockey isn't a video game where trades are based almost solely on value. I almost always comment on how a trade impacts a team's needs and desires as that should be, if people actually try, easier to be objective about.

So, in this trade, I'll reiterate again, I'm not saying Vancouver's players in this deal are bad, I'm saying the deal doesn't improve the Jets now or in the future as it doesn't address needs.

Boston might do that for a 4th. Just to have some depth on D

Yeah Beau isn't worth a 3rd, at best a 4th but probably a lower round pick.

Canucks decline. Ignoring value, we need to trade Miller and maybe Boeser for young guys who fit in with the current core. I cant see the centre-piece of a Miller deal being a 28 and 27 year old

I have gotten comments sometimes that I low ball Canuck players with certain, but not that you've ever noticed those ones
