Couple changes made within the next week

Created by: Timmah007
Team: 2021-22 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 22, 2022
Published: Jan. 23, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I’m placing kosk in a mental health assistance program for two weeks including a much deserved trip for him and his family to go on a safari in Africa. Far away from hockey media and fans. More you follow this team the more you might understand this should be a legitimate option not just a joke. He has had unreasonable workloads forced upon him due to injuries gotta respect that he’s had to have played threw some of his own just because the team failed to provide another option. That’s were Forsberg stalock types suppose to come into play veteran guys that have played and Tippett wouldn’t have been soo reluctant to play as he was with skinner.
So I’m going to make this cap compliant with both smith and kosk as the goalies by deadline but for next 2-3 weeks don’t want either on roster just both get healthy in there own ways.
Giving kosk a break also gives the team a break from the negativity the media and fans put on kosk. I think it’s wearing on everyone separating that will take some weight off while getting back on track.

why do people think jones is an upgrade over koskinen

It’s just to sit in as skinners back up while give kosk a mental break away. Jones currently has a save percentage over .900 which isn’t good but better than what we will get out of Kosk if keep running him into the ground. I’m fine if jones only ends up playing one game then gets waived just as long as it allows kosk to reset himself. Refreshed kosk is capable of providing just as good or better than any realistic target oilers can acquire. Ideally just have smith come back and let him and skinner run with it but obviously can’t trust smith won’t bump his toe and miss another month. Someone has to be brought in as a benchwarmer even just to allow kosk some time away.
