Description
Not sure about the value, but I feel like Dillon would fit in Boston, and fill a hole in LD for them. I think the feeling from most fans is that Dillon replaceable with Stanley, Samberg, and Heinola all waiting their turn right now.

DeBrusk has about the same amount of team control, and allows Statsny to line up at 3C which is where the Jets need him to make a difference. I know it’ll be tough for Dave to put his kid on the 4th line, but if they want to be a real contender, those are the kind of 3 and 4 Cs you need.

Boyd having a good season with the Yotes helps the depth scoring. Could trade for a more sandpaper kind of guy instead.

Or if they keep nosediving then sell off Statsny, Dillon, maybe Copp for picks/prospects lol

Problem is that the bruins aren’t looking to fill a hole on the left side, they’re looking to significantly upgrade. Dillon is just more of the same.

Yeah I guess. If they miss out on Chychrun there won’t be many better options though. I think he’d be an upgrade as a partner for McAvoy no?

If I saw this 2 months ago I would have said Boston accepts.

But Debrusk is playing really well. Boston has 3 LD with term and Zboril and Urho have outplayed two of them and need full time spots next year.

If Dillon was RD it would work. As a LD not sure it does. And creates even more of a logjam next year.

The jets should have no interest in getting involved with DeBrusk's QO. He'll be paid too much for a bottom sixer.

Not really. It’s just kind of a quasi lateral move.

Wtf are we doing trading the one part of our blue line that has any grit? Didn’t we learn from the playoffs that you need players like Dillon to win? Stanley hasn’t been good. The jets need to retool, move expiring pieces out. Not trade parts of their blue line that are crucial. I thought we realized with Dillon out how valuable he was. Man I feel like I’m on a jets fan island with the last 4 ACGMs I’ve seen. Trading Dillon makes 0 sense.

Cause he might have some value, Jets are flush with LHD and they aren't making the playoffs and Samberg is seen as a Dillon replacement. Like is Dillon going to be crucial next year? I like him but if they could move him for close to what they gave for him I'd consider it.

About the only piece of the Jets blue line that I see as crucial is Pionk.

You're very right about the coach's kid and I've been saying it for years with a lot of pushback from Adam Lowry kool-aid drinkers, you're just going nowhere with such an offensively challenged 3C.

I like Boyd, have thought for awhile he'd be a good low cost signing or acquisition but idk if I'd give a 3rd considering where the Jets are at, think getting Dzingel from the Yotes for like a 5th or later round pick would be alright though. Jets could use some speed and he's put up some okay numbers before.

Like I said in the other thread, Schmidt is the one to move. Dillon will be needed next year, move Stanley and Schmidt. We need the size and grit on the backend, Stanley hasn’t been good enough to keep around imo. Only 2 years ago our backend got ran into the ground by Calgary. It’s still an issue.

I know jets are flush with LHD, but move Schmidt and Stanley before Dillon.

Okay gotcha, I'm on the move everyone but Pionk train but I hear ya, this defense is still too small for my liking as well and I have no idea how we're supposed to integrate little Ville into it with already so many 6' or smaller dmen.

It's part of the reason I really want to see Kovacevic get in the lineup, he's 6'3", Gawanke is a bit bigger then Morrissey and Pionk, really hope both those guys get a look soon.
