Don’t think Chicago would get much better offers for a end of year rental.

CBA no longer allows re-signing conditions on trades from my understanding

Yes they will. Especially if they're expected to take back a 4.5m cap dump.

If Boston was willing to take Yams for DeBrusk then it would have already happened

Yam has been playing pretty sh*tty when I've watched - kinda lost/buzzsaw/waterbug player w/ zero to no-finish.

JD has been playing well in 2022, getting some impt PK/Powerplay & late-in-game minutes from Cassidy.
IMO, B's test him at TDL or more than likely just stay w/ JD for a playoff run.
Then no QFO will be tabled afterward & he can walk to UFA...

Ew! what have you done? No to both Subban trades. Also no to Giordano, are the Oilers trying to have the oldest D group in the league, or....?? And hard pass on the Debrusk trade, he is too expensive to qualify next yr for what he brings.

Yamo, Barrie, Kassian and their first rnd picks need to be used to bring in a gritty shutdown RHD, and 2 legit power forwards(yes Kane could be one). The Oilers are too soft and will go nowhere in the playoffs(if they even make them).

Look at the Lehner trade and that was without retention and a 2nd plus came back and no cap dumps either. Flowers will easily get a 2nd on his own. Retention plus taking on cap from the acquiring team raises the price.
