This would be their 4th retool in a decade. They have to either tear it down or build around. Nothing in between. Also, several of these deals make little sense

You are not getting Ehlers for Provorov. And the Flyers have been retooling for years now and it makes no difference. Shake up the core, get some picks and develop your prospects

Giroux could really complete the forward core. Future first is a risk, but a PPG player for someone under contract in the KHL for the next while and a 1st rounder? Why not?

Risto would be a great add for the Oilers! But sadly they would not have the cap space next summer to resign him, even if they ship out Barrie in another trade.

It's a rental sure... it's also CLAUDE GIROUX as a rental... a prospect that *might* make the NHL and a 1st for a more than PPG winger is more than worth it. Figure out the cap somehow, but he's worth this.
