Trades
MIN
  1. Roslovic, Jack
Additional Details:
Portzline wrote an article this past week that Roslovic is available (link above). I've always liked Roslovic's skill set and he'd be an offensive upgrade over Gaudreau for us.
CBJ
  1. Greenway, Jordan
Additional Details:
Greenway has a ton of size and has actually been decent for us this year, but I really think he could use a change in scenery.

I think in the summer yes! But we need to keep this line in tact for the season! Yesterday prove why it's needed

I sort of look at Roslovic as a rental since we may not be able to afford to re-sign him. Roslovic is an RFA like Greenway, so if there is a way we can afford him I'd rather we see how he performs on the team and then make a decision on him vs trading for him and offering him a contract based on his performance in Columbus.

I guess just don't know if I'll ever be a Greenway fan. He shows flashes, and he hasn't been too bad this year, but he reminds me so much of Coyle because you always want more from him. He fits in OK on that line but I think Gaudreau would be better.

For what reason? So they can pick 12th instead of 10th?

Boston will beat that offer.

Freddy G is MarJo quality a black hole in the o-zone. Putting the puck on his stick is where possession goes to die. Moving Freddy G up in the lineup is not the way to make the team better.

Of course he is, but that line is not designed to put up offensive numbers, it's designed to shut down the opponent's top line and Gaudreau is better at that than Greenway. Move them down to the 3rd line then, doesn't really matter.

They shut the other teams down by keeping possession in the o-zone. That line is designed to be a scoring line. It's just not a pretty goal scoring, it's an old school in your face scoring. Heck their game even translates to the PP. JEE and Foligno are 1-2 in PP goals, they have more combined goals than the rest of the team combined. Kap, Zucc, Fiala, and Hartman have 8 combined pp goals.

The GREEF line has just crazy on ice numbers over the past 2 seasons: 73.68 GF%, 3.47 GF/60, 1.24 GA/60, 67.44 HDCF%, 81.82 HDGF%. And that is against the other team's top lines on a nightly basis. It works because all 3 of them open up so much space on their own. Take any one of them out and the other 2 become a lot less effective together.

So you're telling me that line crumbles when Greenway is out? Because I haven't missed him one bit when he has been out of the lineup.

This is a good trade for minny but I don’t think this would go as a 1 for 1 maybe add like a 4th going with greenway to Columbus and i think its a better deal

I'd argue Ek being out was far more noticeable. I don't think I realized Greenway was even out and sadly forwards aren't like defensemen where it's usually good if you don't notice them.

As for the trade above, I think this is the most right handed forwards this team would have seen in probably 8 years at least.

Just this year the different combos of the 3, 5v5:
-GREEF: 7gf, 0ga, 165 mins (+7)
-JEE/Foligno: 6gf, 6ga, 105 mins (0)
-Greenway/Foligno: 7gf, 4ga, 94 mins (+3)
-JEE: 3gf, 5ga, 106 mins (-2)
-Foligno: 4gf, 2ga, 83 mins (+2)
-Greenway: 4 gf, 5ga, 82 mins (-1)
-none: 58 gf, 51 ga, 1073 mins (+7)

The other line combos with any amount of ToI:
-Fiala/JEE/Foligno: 6gf, 5a, 79 mins (+1)
-Greenway/Hartman/Foligno: 5gf, 2 ga, 62 mins (+3)

The 3 of them together are better together than any combo of them apart.
